Celebrate the arrival of summer with a stroll down to the Skagit Riverwalk next to the Tulip Tower in Downtown Mount Vernon. There you can ring in the beginning of summer with artists, art enthusiasts, community leaders, movers and shakers. Come support the arts in Mount Vernon, and the work of the Mount Vernon Arts Commission, by participating in an auction of patio umbrellas painted by local artists.

Child & Babysitting Safety Class

For ages 10 and up. The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program is a community education program that covers child safety and basic care techniques for infants and children. Some of the topics covered in the program: before the parents leave, playtime, telephone calls and stranger knocks, hand washing, meal times, bed time, and providing emergency care (first aid and CPR).
